Our congregation was established in 1840. The church building was constructed in 1870, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Our air-conditioned sanctuary also houses a powerful Schantz pipe organ. We also maintain a church office building and a house for the minister.
Our church is a member of the United Church of Christ
and we are affiliated with the Prairie Association

The officers of the church include the Minister, a Moderator, a Vice-Moderator, a Clerk, a Treasurer and the following boards: Trustees, Education, Mission, Deacons, and the General Board.
In addition to board service, education and choir, there are many activities for our church family to enjoy:
- Puritan Chapter women's group.
- Family Fellowship
- Faith and Film
- Book Group
- Lenten Soup Suppers
- Potluck picnic
- Hosting the after-services social time
